SABIS - Sarah Al-Amiri

Sarah Al-Amiri

Her Excellency Sarah Al-Amiri, the UAE Minister of State for Advanced Technologies and the chair of the UAE Space Agency (previously science lead and deputy project manager for the Emirates Mars Mission) and SABIS® UAE alumni has made the BBC's list of 100 inspiring and influential women for 2020. Her Excellency has made the UAE and her SABIS® family around the globe extremely proud; she has been praised by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Vice President and Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), and ruler of the Emirate of Dubai, who has recognised her achievements in a recent tweet.
Born in 1987 in the United Arab Emirates, Her Excellency studied in ISC Abu Dhabi and went on to study Computer Engineering at the American University of Sharjah (AUS); earning both a Bachelor's and a Master's degree. Her Excellency is a wonderful and inspiring example for all, as she demonstrates that nothing is impossible for Arab women in the UAE.
We look forward to following your journey with pride, Your Excellency, as you reach for the stars and illuminate the way for future generations of SABIS® students and graduates.
