Rula Jurdi
Rula Jurdi, class of ‘80, is a Yale PhD alumna and an Associate Professor at McGill University. In addition to her academic research, Rula is also a writer and a poet whose poems have appeared in Iraqi, Lebanese, and American journals and newspapers. Recently, her soul lifting novel, “ Fi ‘ulbat al-daw’ ” (In The Box of Light) has been selected as a semi finalist for the 2020 Khayrallah Prize - a prize granted to the Best Artistic Expression of the Lebanese Diaspora.
